Key as a Service

ACCM / ACCM +

Combined virtual key access and vehicle data collection running off of our Key as a Service platform enables game changing, unprecedented business opportunities to the mobility services industry. From fleet management and peer-to-peer carsharing to logistics and package delivery, the possibilities are only limited to what you can dream of.

Description

accm_access_telematics_description_image1_552x311.png

There are two HW variants in this portfolio – the ACCM and ACCM+ which both use the same sets of APIs for the backend (Continental Keycore) and SDKs for the mobile app integration.

The HW portfolio utilizes either a proprietary universal key technology (ACCM+) or a vehicle’s native key fob technology (ACCM) to lock, unlock and start a vehicle.

Additionally, the device provides accurate vehicle data including Level1, Level2 and CAN that may be available through the OBD port of the vehicle. The device is also equipped with a GPS chip that accurately monitors the location of the vehicle.

Advantages

  • Short Loop Communication:  Ensures that communication between the app and the HW device in the car is available offline (even without cellular connection)

  • Easy, Non-intrusive Installation:  Does not involve tampering with OEM wiring or connections

  • Ease Of Onboarding A Vehicle:  Simple 3 step process to get a vehicle added, key provisioned and HW installed (~15 min)

  • Vehicle Agnostic Solution:  The ACCM and ACCM+ together provide Access coverage for almost 95% of the OEMs, models and years

  • Vehicle Location:  Monitoring vehicle location and setting up geofences for automatic alerts when the vehicle violates the fencing rules can be easily accomplished.

  • Vehicle Data:  Extensive and accurate vehicle data including Ignition status, Transmission status, Odometer, Fuel Level, State of charge (in case of EVs), Oil life, Tire Pressure (TPMS) and many more.

  • Use With Any Access System:  Can be used with both push-to-start and bladed key access systems

Technology

Technology ACCM

accm.jpg

The ACCM device will act like the traditional Key FOB   to mimic up to four functions (Lock, Unlock, Panic, Trunk).  The ACCM kit will easily be plugged to the car without modifications, hacks and changes to the car’s existing circuitry. The SIM card pulls relevant vehicle data from the vehicle and transmits it to the Continental Keycore backend and the phone Application.

Download the virtual key from the Continental Cloud backend onto the Key as a Service SDK embedded on your mobile app and communicate exclusively with the vehicle using Bluetooth connectivity to lock, unlock and start the vehicle. The KaaS solution provides APIs, an admin interface to the Continental Cloud backend and SDKs for integration with the user’s application.

Technology ACCM+

The ACCM+ uses Continental’s proprietary universal Remote Cloud Key device to accomplish Access and Start authorization. The ACCM+ works with several OEM models and is the most secure solution available on the market today to provide lock, unlock and start authorization. The ACCM kit will easily be plugged to the car without modifications, hacks and changes to the car’s existing circuitry.

The ACCM+ includes besides the above-mentioned features of the ACCM a GPS chip, which provides the vehicle location accurately. Download the virtual key from the Continental Cloud backend onto the Key as a Service SDK embedded on your mobile app and communicate exclusively with the vehicle using Bluetooth connectivity to lock, unlock and start the vehicle. The KaaS solution provides APIs, an admin interface to the Continental Cloud.
