Stand-alone, contactless, active sensor providing the speed and direction of the asynchronous motors by detecting the rotation of a ferromagnetic encoder wheel mounted on the rotor shaft. The speed signal is required to drive the torque of the asynchronous machine through the inverter control board.
Benefits & Features
- Easy signal processing / gives directly the speed information to the inverter with high accuracy
- Low current consumption
- Easy filtering of noise on signal
- Potential standard ferromagnetic target wheel
- Sensor resolution set to customer request
- Independent of the number of motor poles pairs
- ASIL B (ASIL D on request)
- Rare earth free (no supply chain dependency)
- Low cost attractive concept (ferrite magnet & 2 wires output signal)
- Low weight
